STUDIES & RESULTS

LAKE OKEECHOBEE, Florida

NBOT Labs has announced the successful completion of an algae remediation project in the Port Mayaca Lock and Dam system, which connects Lake Okeechobee to the St. Lucie canal in central Florida. Water samples collected from the Lock showed heavy concentrations of microcystis algae, cyanobacteria and microcystin toxin, which have spread throughout Florida’s waterways. The NBOT technology was deployed for 24-hours, and laboratory results showed a 95-100% reduction in algae cells and 100% elimination of cyanobacteria and micocystin in the post-treatment samples. Test results also showed a significant reduction in both ammonia and nitrogen levels, which could slow down and reduce algae growth in the future.

LAKE NEWPORT, Ohio

NBOT Labs has announced the successful completion of an algae remediation project in Mill Creek MetroPark and Lake Newport, a 60 acre lake with 40 acres of wetlands. Water samples collected from multiple test sites showed heavy concentrations of algae and bacteria. The NBOT technology was deployed for 1 week, and laboratory results showed an 80-90% decrease in algae and bacteria cells. The Mill Creek / Lake Newport site was chosen specifically to test NBOT on a combination of faster moving creek water, slower moving lake water, and stagnant water with no flow. Visual results were seen over 1 mile from the equipment site, which demonstrated the ability of nano-bubbles to remain stable in water and travel log distances.

HOG LAGOON, North Carolina

NBOT Labs has announced the successful completion of an animal waste water treatment project at a hog lagoon site. Water samples collected from the lagoon showed elevated levels of nutrients (Nitrogen, Phosphorus, Ammonia), organic materials, heavy metals and e.coli bacteria. The NBOT technology was deployed on a lagoon sample for 24 hours and laboratory results showed an 60-90% decrease in nutrients and heavy metals and >98% decrease in organic material and bacteria.
